Configuration of LaoUniKey

LaoUniKey provides the following configuration options:

Selection of a keyboard layout among five,
Activation of one or two hotkeys,
Text generation in four different formats,
Selection of a language among three.

Select your keyboard

You will select the keyboard layout in the "Keyboard" listbox of the LaoUniKey window.
Five keyboard layouts are available.
To make your choice, please see the images of the keyboard layouts.

Activate the hotkeys

Two hotkeys are available to ease the swap between English and Lao: Ctrl-L and Pause.
If you check the associated boxes, these hotkeys will be activated.

NB: The same hotkeys may be used in other software such as LaoWord or LSWin. Do not activate them in more than one software program at a time.

Select the generation mode : UTF-16, UTF-8, HTML or C/C++

LaoUniKey offers the possibility to generate the Lao characters in the usual UTF-16 format, but also in UTF-8 (for example àº for the letter ກ), HTML (ex.: ກ) or C/C++ (ex.: 0x0E81).

NB: Don't select the UTF-8, HTML and C/C++ formats if you are not familiar with their usage.

Select your language

You will select the dialog language in the "Language" listbox of the LaoUniKey window.
The three available language are:

ພາສາລາວ,
Français,
English.
